The rappel is the controlled descent of a vertical drop, such as a rock face, using a rope. It is used for hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing and other activities that require vertical drops such as rescue and military missions. It is a sport that enhaces your mental and physical skills while having fun.

Option 1: Pay $19 for a rappel class + 2 rappel descents from a 13-meters wall at Parque Los Guayacanes in Bethania ($38 Value).
Option 2: Pay $21 for a rappel class + 1 rappel descent from a 13-meters wall + bootcamp circuit at Parque Los Guayacanes in Bethania ($43 Value).
With the first option you will learn to rappel and have the opportunity to descend 2 times in a wall of 13 meters to apply all the knowledge learned.
With option 2, in addition to learning how to rappel, you will have one descent in the wall of 13 meters and you will also participate in the bootcamp, a circuit of high performance exercises military style. This option is available for August 9 only.
Both options include rappelling equipment and staff support to ensure your safety and well-being at all times.

Most climbing historians credit the development of the rappel to Jean Estéril Charlet, a French climber based in Chamonix. Charlet developed the technique of abseiling (as it is known in the rest of the world), and used it first while descending from the Petit Dru in 1876.
